Schwartz

Schwartz, a Montreal landmark, has been serving their famous smoked meat since 1928. This Montreal institution was founded by Reuben Schwartz, a Jewish immigrant from Russia. Throughout the years, Schwartz has maintained their traditional recipe, refusing to use any chemicals or preservatives to prepare their famous old-fashion smoked meat.

Dining at Schwartz is always a unique experience, as you are bound to wait in line and share a table with strangers. This Montreal Hebrew Delicatessen is located on St-Laurent Boulevard.

Many celebrities have enjoyed Schwartz old-fashion smoked meat such as Celine Dion, Halle Berry, Angelina Jolie, The Rolling Stones, Jean Beliveau and many others.

You have not fully experienced  Montreal if you have not gone to Schwartz and tried one of their famous smoked meat sandwiches.
